Multiplication Rules: You can always multiply! You just need to "count"
When multiplying decimals, count the amount of digits behind the decimal, put that amount of digits behind the decimal in your answer.
When multiplying fractions, make sure you have just a fraction, multiply the tops together and multiply the denominators together.
When multiplying integers, count the number of negative signs:
an even number of negative signs will have a positive answer.
an odd number of negative signs will have a negativeanswer.
When multiplying variables, count the amount of variables, write an exponent next to the variable to indicate that amount.
When multiplying you should expect the result to be different. (.2)(.3) = .06 2x(3x) = 6x2
